As a master upholsterer and Journeyman, it is expected for you to be able to walk into a room / hall and if required, to advise and liaise with the client with the many aspects of design, able to determine a theme with should compliment an appropriate period setting. Saying this, I've been asked to supply tented ceiling, upholster the walls, commissioned the making chairs, couches and to furnish the windows known as window treatments, with bump interlined silk drapes with period fully upholstered pediment pelmets.
Thankfully, Britain still produces and supplies some of the best furnishing fabric materials, silks, fine cottons, flax, wool to produce some finest Jacquard Damasks while including some of the latest fashionable high profile design house fabrics.
